St. Mary’s Catholic Church

St. Mary’s Catholic Church gathered a team of professionals including Siegfried Construction, Conrad Schmidt, Studio EA and others to gently refresh their beautiful, historic church interior that was originally consecrated by Bishop Ireland on July 20, 1884. We were tasked with reinforcing the church floor’s wood beam and post system from the basement, reconfiguring the church altar steps and platform to its original layout, improving accessibility and pew layout, and adding an accessible confessional.

The new altar steps and platform were finished with Italian marble in complementary colors. A neutral carpet with subtle patterns was used so as not to distract from newly painted wall and ceiling details. New pews provide more comfortable and accessible seating opportunities.
